In the Old Testament, Moses was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of bondage.
In the New Testament, Christ was sent from Heaven to release mankind from the bondage of sin.
Moses relied on hearing from God for instructions. Jesus knew what the plan was when He came.
God gave Moses instructions for the Israelites to be led to the promised land.
Christ came to lead us to eternal life. And even greater promised land than the Israelites.
In both testaments the common denominator is stiff necked sinners. Our hearts get hardened. We turn away from God. The reasons don’t really matter. If we turn away from God, there is no good reason. It never ends well.
Prayer: Thank You, Father, that no matter how many times I turn from You, You are always waiting for me. Waiting for me to soften my heart, and turn back to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
