Faith over Fear
At 75 years old Abram left his home, and his family, took everything he had and moved because of his faith in the Father. We see in chapter 12, that he became fearful, and lied to the King of Egypt.
We as human believers are in a constant battle of fear and faith. God’s goodness is apparent in every day of our lives, even when we don’t know it. And yet if we aren’t careful, and if we don’t guard our heart, we can be overcome with fear.
In Mark 5, the lady in the crowd knew, believed, had faith, that if she could just touch the cloak of Jesus, she would be healed. And because of her faith, when all other hope was lost, she was healed. No magic spell, or special words. Simple faith!
The battle of faith over fear is real, but when we seek Jesus, when we push our way through the crowd, when we trust God’s word to us, we find that faith is so much better than fear.
