2 Kin 24-25; 2 Chronicles 36; Psalm 126; 1 Peter 3

“He must turn away from wickedness and do what is right. He must search for peace [with God, with self, with others] and pursue it eagerly [actively—not merely desiring it]. For the eyes of the Lord are [looking favorably] upon the righteous (the upright), And His ears are attentive to their prayer (eager to answer), But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We all want peace.  We wish for it, pray for it, hope for it.  But how often do we actively pursue peace?

Actively seeking peace is an on going process, at least for me.  Learning to seek peace in chaos is hard.  Understanding that peace isn’t just a sign, or something we say, can be difficult.

Chaos and conflict  is inevitable.  Peace a choice.  A choice to pursue.  A choice that God longs to help us pursue, actively, and continuously.

PRAYER FOR THIS WEEK: What in my life needs to change so that I can fully worship God?
