Jeremiah 50-51; 2 Peter 3

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Time can seem like it is crawling when we are expecting something wonderful.  Impatiently waiting for that wedding date, or that bonus from work, or Christmas morning.

How much greater will be the reward for waiting and watching patiently for the return of our Lord?

Peter tells us we must wait and be faithful to not give in to the deception that maybe He forgot us.

When? Where? Hasn’t there been enough suffering?  It’s been thousands of years already, are you sure He’s coming?

My friends, I know He is-without a doubt!  He is coming!  He’s coming for the faithful.  And,  He is coming for condemnation of those who refuse to believe.

There is a song that I love called, “The King is Coming”.  The final line of that song says, “Praise God!  He’s coming for me!”.

So I will wait patiently, and be faithful.  I pray that for you as well.
