2 Samuel 6; 1 Chronicles 13; Psalm 60; Acts 23

The oxen stumbled, Uzzah reached out and grabbed the Ark of God, with the best of intentions, to keep it from falling, and God struck him down.

These actions were all because of previous decisions. David made decisions to move the Ark without consulting God, and to do it on a way that was not the way God had instructed the Ark to be moved.

Our decisions rarely only affect us.  We can change lives with decisions that we make.  When our children are small, we can decide to save for their future, or college, or not.  Either way, that will affect their future.  When we decide on a career, it affects our family, where they will live, our economic status. When we decide whether or not to attend church, our family’s eternity can be affected.

My prayer for today is that decisions I make are made with, first and foremost, God’s approval, and trust that seeking Him is always the best decision.
