Esther 7-10; Revelation 3

“King Xerxes imposed tribute throughout the empire, to its distant shores. And all his acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of Mordecai, whom the king had promoted, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Media and Persia? Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.”  Esther‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The book of Esther gives us insight into how God uses our bad decisions, and our good ones, for His good.

We see God is every movement made in Esther.  Esther came from humble beginnings to be queen.  Mordecia was a Jew who was exiled to Babylon.  He became 2nd in command behind the king.  Haman was 2nd in charge to the king who wound up impaled on the very pole he had fashioned for Mordecai.

As I was reading, I couldn’t help but think how I have my own plans, or accept what I see as the final say.  Oh how many times I have  found myself at the end of that chapter in a far better place than I expected.

As the table below shows, while we have free will, what we don’t have is the final say.

As you face your situations, remember, God is in control. He will never control you, but He will always control the outcome for His glory.

How can we pray for you?
