Leviticus 24-25; Psalm 81; Hebrews 9

”He shall keep the lamps burning on the pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually.“
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭24‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The Lord commanded Moses that Aaron should keep the lamps burning continually in the temple.

The Lord commands the same of us today.  The only difference is Christ is the Light and we are the temple. God commands us to let others know that we are of Him by the Light (Christ) in us.

Light was the first thing God created. Light is one of the central themes throughout the Bible. Even in Psalms 119, the psalmist talks of  God’s word as a light to his path. Jesus even proclaimed Himself as the “Light of the world”.

Keeping the Light in our own lives shining is important, not only for others to see, but to guide our steps along our own path.

Be encouraged today, as I am, we have a constant Light inside of our hearts, but it is commanded of us to share that Light.  To allow others to feel the warmth from our lamp.

Happy Monday, Y’all.
