1 Kings 12; 2 Chronicles 10-11; Titus 1

Is the glass half empty, or is it half full?

Usually, my answer to that question depends on the kind of day it’s been.

Paul tells us in Titus 1:15 that our souls should reflect how we see things, because how we interpret things will show the world where are heart truly is.

Have you ever found the perfect pair of sun glasses?  I mean who doesn’t love a cool pair of shades, right?  Not so dark, you have to take them off to see the room before you walk inside.  Just enough tint to be comfortable, and they fit perfect and look good.   We do everything we can to keep those shades for as long as possible.

Looking through the Jesus lens helps us focus.  Focus on good, and pure. When we accept Jesus, and  God fills our heart with the Holy Spirit, it is our responsibility to use it wisely.  To look at things with a pure heart, and find the good.

What a task that can be with the evil of this world surrounding us.  But…Jesus told us, in John 16:33, to take heart, “ for I have over come the world.”.

My prayer today is that we all put on our Jesus shades.  That we strive to see the good in all.  There is always good to be found.   Sometimes we just can’t see it because the lens of our heart are too dark.
