1 Kings 6; 2 Chronicles 3; 1 Timothy 1
1 Timothy 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I was the worst.
Paul was the self proclaimed worst. I can think of a few others in the New Testament who I would think would take that title. The ones who beat Jesus. The ones who decided to release a murder, rather than Jesus.
Paul did some rotten things as well, and God used every moment.
Believers stories are not meant to shame them. Only in this world do we shame others for their story. Judge them. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
For this very reason, we should be willing to share our story. We should encourage others with our struggles.
Sometimes others think they are ones who are too far out of reach for God to forgive. What if that one person’s eternity could be changed by your story? If they were wearing a sign that said,” Your story will change my life.”, it would make things a little easier.
If Jesus is the hero of our story, how could it be ugly?
Today I pray for the courage to be proud of my story. To live and love like Jesus is the hero of my story.
