Jesus fed 5000 men, in addition to woman and children, with 5 loaves and 2 fish. After everyone had eaten and was full, the 12 picked up the left overs. 12 baskets of left overs. Still the question was, “ Is this Messiah?”
Through religions, we are taught the laws. Just as they were living the Law of Moses. The problem with religion and laws is things can get twisted. People can turn things to fit their agenda. And after a while, the new interpretation becomes the “right way”.
Just as things we were taught as child become the way for us, so the Law of Moses became the way for the people.
As Jesus spoke of the bread of life, and comparing it to the Manna in the desert, the people wondered what He was talking about. Hadn’t those who had eaten the manna died? Some were so confused they walked away from following Jesus.
As we talk to others about Christ, and lead them, we must be careful not to inject our interpretation into the conversation. Carefully leading them to Jesus’ way.
My prayer today is I am prepared to speak of Jesus’ way and not mine.
How can we pray for you today?
