Habakkuk; 2 Corinthians 7

The book of Habakkuk is a very familiar one to most of us.  Frustration when it seems that evil is winning is not a new concept, as we can see. The prophet wonders how long God will continue to let evil run rampant.

Taking his concern to God didn’t seem to be new to Habakkuk either.  While not understanding the circumstances, he went to the one person he could trust to know the answer.  Being the loving Father that He is, God answers him.

God promises him that peace will come, but not until the time is right.  We have to live by faith, and that means trusting when we don’t understand.  Hope is believing that the unpleasantness that we are experiencing is not all there is.  The suffering won’t last.

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬, is only one of the many promises that God gives us throughout His word to restore us, and even make us better than when we started.

The promise God gave Habakkuk, is the same promise He offer us today.

Whatever we are facing, we must have hope and faith.

We would love to pray for you this week.  Leave us a comment or send us a private message if there is a need you’re facing, because while God will bring you through, it most certainly helps to have friends praying with you.
