2 Chronicles 29-31; 1 Corinthians 8
In the Law of Moses one was not supposed to partake of the Passover meal if they were unclean. In chapter 30 of 2 Chronicles most of the people who came to the Passover had not consecrated themselves, but participated in the Passover festivities, including the meal.
King Hezekiah could have made things hard on those who disobeyed the law of Moses. Instead, he believed in God’s grace and mercy. He prayed on their behalf, and God was faithful to answer those prayers.
There have been times when things I did probably weren’t inline with the “rules”, but my heart was in the right place.
God knows our hearts. And He is always faithful to those who love Him. His mercy covers my transgressions perfectly.
