Ezekiel 10-12; Psalm 83; John 4

Have you ever gotten dressed to go somewhere only to find your significant other is wearing the same color combo? What about when you see a cat with a little mustache being petted by its owner who’s sporting a similar mustache? Truth: People who spend a lot of time together often end up looking like each other.
God is looking for a people who look like Him through their attitudes and actions. John 4:23 says, “But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.”
God isn’t asking for worship because He needs worship. He looks for worshippers because they have a relationship with Him. Worship is something we give to God. Being a worshiper is something we are for God. It’s a condition of our heart. Whatever is in our heart is displayed by our actions. When there’s hope and purpose in our hearts, we are fired-up to step out and act.
When God looks at you, does he see Himself? If you were going somewhere with Him, would you accidentally dress alike because you spend too much time together? That’s the one time I wouldn’t change my clothes.
