“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
Jesus is the “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
Not one of the “ways.” He was not telling a lie, and if we take this singular way, we have life.
As Peter said these words in Acts 4:12, he echoed the words of Jesus that he fully believed to be true. When I drive home to Tyler, I can take many ways to arrive back in my hometown. This is not true when it comes to our salvation. One way: Jesus.
Salvation is only found in the name of Jesus. The name above every name. One day, at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
We confess Jesus is Lord, and we will not run to anything or anyone but to Him for our salvation. Money will not grant us the grace that only Jesus can. More of whatever soothes the pain for “right now” for an “eternal pain” we give over to Jesus and find our soothing and salvation in Him alone. Thank You, Jesus! Amen.
