Deuteronomy 10-14; Psalm 5; Luke 8
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. (Psalm 5:3)
God Hears You
As I was typing this post and about to pray over it, something happened. I am not a computer guy, I just know something happened. I realized that all I had typed was lost. Funny writing a post about God hearing us and I was about to pray over the completed post and did not pray when the post was somehow erased.
This won’t be the original post I intended, but will be the one God intended. It is not that we think God is not listening or that we do not want to pray, but it is the busyness and multitasking that pushes praying off the agenda.
Prayer is the exercise of our Fatih! Prayer is not our last line of defense, it is our first line of offense.
Yup, offense, we are not defending our positions, we are moving forward with the King of Glory to take our position. Notice how David gets into worship, but why? Because worship was David’s theme song for unleashing the power and presence of God. Prayer and worship are a awesome tandem.
David knew he did not stand a chance without God, but with God, no one stood a chance against him. So David prayed!
Remember, God hears you, and if your computer acts weird, stop and pray, He is listening.
Prayer: Thank you for being a good Father who always listens to His children. Lord, we thank you for giving us Your Holy Spirit so we can cry out in our mumbled thoughts and tears and at times frustrations and the Holy Spirit translates it into our heart’s cry for Your heavenly ears to receive. We thank you Lord, for hearing us…Amen
