It’s Always God
17 God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams. (Daniel 1.17)
Grace is such a beautiful thing. We often want things that only grace can give. I was telling someone on Monday that I wish someone would have told me earlier in my walk of faith that going at the pace of grace is the best move to make.
In every endeavor, I worked as hard as I could to accomplish as much as I could. On the basketball team, run more and take more shots in practice than my teammates. While flying in the Air Force, study more and longer than my flight buddies. So naturally, if I work harder and harder in my faith, surely God will give me what “I” want. Nah…sorry, don’t work like that.
Wisdom and power belong to God (Daniel 2. 20-23) and He gives it to whom He choses. This is where grace renders its beauty for all. When we acknowledge that we can only do it through God, before we do it “for” God, He will supply according to His will and way.
Beloved, I do not know what you are fighting, or what is fighting you, but remember: it’s always God. God will be there for you when you make space for His grace. God will provide for us when we stop trying so hard to do it without Him. It’s always God. Can you imagine the fiery furnace or the lion’s den without God…whew! It has, and always will be: God. Praise the LORD!
