Jeremiah 37, 21, 34; Psalm 79; James 5
17 Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! 18 Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. (James 5.17-18)
As We Are
Did you notice that “as we are” that James slips in. Go head, above, read it again.
Prayer is such a powerful tool in the believer’s toolbox in this life. It does what only prayer can do. It does often what we cannot do. Some may think, why pray, doesn’t God already know our needs? The case isn’t of a knowledge thing, it is a request and submission thing.
We come to God, just as we are, and speak to the Lord of the universe. The creator of heaven and earth…as we are. Nope, no fancy words and long sonnets…as we are.
Are you facing situations, come to God in prayer, as you are, and who He is, you betta believe, will take care of it.
