Zephaniah; Psalm 74; 2 Corinthians 8

The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

We have a King

Rebellion is so natural. When someone tells us to do something, it is almost like something in us says, “why?”

This is the history of our lives, and the lives of those called to God, the Israelites. Rebellion had glue stepped them into situations that they should have never faced and should never face. The King of the World had called and connected with them so others may be connected and called as well.

Notice I said “King.” He is not an elected official. He does not have to have a high approval rating or lobby for votes. The creator and sustainer of the world is our King. That’s bout the most awesome thing possible.

For He is with us, the Mighty Warrior who saves! Now, that is one thing, but this King also takes delight in you! At a point He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. This is our eternal destiny for all who worship and obey our King. But you don’t have to wait to praise Him, you can do that now! GLORY TO THE KING!
