Joshua 22-24; Psalm 116; Luke 19

So be very careful to love the Lord your God. (Josh. 23.11)

Love is such a powerful force.

It does things in such a sacrificial manner that it goes unquestioned.

Jesus loves us. Not “did love us,” but He does love us. He love you and me right now.

This is not just stating the obvious, but stating the truth that sustains all of us as we prepare for this Sunday. That we be very careful to love the One who first loved us. It does not always “feel” good to live a life in love with Jesus. The sacrifices of pride and ego we must make. The change in attitudes and actions that reflect this “care-full-ness.”

Lord, teach us to be careful to love You. To love You when we are not loved by others. To love You when we feel isolated and abandoned in our hearts and minds. We know God that You love us, help us to love You…Amen.
