God’s Presence
Rough days we can dodge here and there, but it seems eventually they catch us. At times I wish \ those days would disappear and never be on my calendar.
These hard times do not inventory if we believe in God or not, they still come and stay longer than we expect. At the end of the book of Exodus I find great peace in what is written: “The cloud of the Lord hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys.” (Exod. 40:38)
No matter how are days or nights or weeks or months are going, we as believers have God’s presence with us. His promise is that He will never leave us or forsake us. He neither slumbers nor sleeps and has yet to fail on a promise He has spoken.
As we journey through this life, please know that your rough days still have God’s presence in them and He will see you throughout all your journeys.
Prayer: LORD, we thank You for being there at times when we could not take another step and you picked us up and carried us through. We thank You for coming to always see about us when we felt alone or abandoned. You are a God that makes Your presence known, and we find our comfort in You. Amen.
