1 Samuel 30-31; 1 Chronicles 10; Acts 20

King Saul:

13 So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord. He failed to obey the Lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium 14 instead of asking the Lord for guidance. So the Lord killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.(1 Chronicle 10:13-14)

Apostle Paul:

25 “And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again. 26 I declare today that I have been faithful. If anyone suffers eternal death, it’s not my fault, 27 for I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know. (Acts 20:25-27)

Fear and Fatih. One man seemed to fear things from the very beginning called Him into divine service (remember the pending King Saul was found “hiding among the baggage”). Apostle Paul declared his faithfulness and fulfilled his divine duties with his faith in Christ.

We all will face opportunities to move in fear or in faith. To place our attention on God or our current situation. Please know this: what results do you want? The results of our decisions are tied to either our fear of the situation or the faith we move in even in spite of what we may “feel.”

Lord, help us, help us Father to know that fear may rise, but our faith in you must cause it to fall. Thank You for granting us the portion of faith that is much greater and potent than any fear we can bring forth. Lord, help us to trust in You! Amen.
