I saw before me what seemed to be a glass sea mixed with fire. And on it stood all the people who had been victorious over the beast and his statue and the number representing his name. They were all holding harps that God had given them. And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:
“Great and marvelous are your works,
O Lord God, the Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
O King of the nations. (Revelation 15.2-3)
We have had our fair share of losses. Last week at my son’s basketball game I saw a young man miss a free throw to win the game…loss. Sometimes we can feel like that young man, so close, yet so far from winning. Is this not how life can feel at times?
The truth, not the feeling, is that we are victorious in Christ. Notice the “in” from that last sentence. Once we place our faith “IN” Jesus, missed free throw or not, we are victorious.
This results in praise. I’ve seen victory parades for various sports teams and man is it wild and full of jubilation. Now, picture yourself worshipping with the Lamb, the one who saved us from our sins and made heaven our home with Him, worship is inevitable! But hold up, you ain’t gotta wait till then, go head and practice how for your eternal praise will be. Come, let us Worship the LORD!
