Genesis 45-46; Psalm 108; Galatians 2

by Faith Brady

Steadfast Love

I was today years old when I discovered that “to carry someone” is not a Mississippi saying but is a biblical saying… “The sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons that Pharaoh had sent to carry him.” 46:5 😉

What do you think you are steadfast about?  Your views on politics?  Your love of your children?  How about your love of God?  What does it mean to be steadfast?  Firmly fixed in place, not subject to change.

Psalm 108 begins with David’s way of showing his steadfast love for God.  MUSIC!  In the story of Joseph we see his steadfast love of his family.  Even though his brothers had betrayed him his love was steadfast.  He chose the Godly way instead of the selfish way.  Forgiveness doesn’t come easy but it is available when we depend on the steadfast love of God to forgive.
