Ecclesiastes 4-6; Psalm 125; 2 Timothy 2

Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion;
    they will not be defeated but will endure forever. (Psalm 125.1)

A hymn’s lyrics:

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Security is definitely connected to who and whom we trust. Without a doubt, we have trusted someone and that trust was violated and we did not feel as secure with them or the situation.

Take a moment now and reflect on GOD. Has HE ever caused you to not feel secure based off HIS word and HIS ways? Has HE ever caused you to be defeated? I reflected on these questions and began to realize how often I left my security because I had taken GOD’s security for granted.

I departed the mountain security for my valley insecurities and realized that at times I can not trust myself. I must submerge my total trust in GOD and allow HIM to absorb and deal with my trust issues. I openly admit that it is not easy at times, but to go any other route has left me stranded and struggling.

So I say to you as I say to myself: Trust GOD, again I say, trust GOD…amen.

    Ecc 4:1-stood out to me. Solomon could have been talking about the world, or my world today. “…power was on the side of their oppressors—and they had no comforter.” We only need to look around this world, or our own backyard to see that there is no comfort in this world. Like the pillow that we spend the whole night flipping to the cool side so we can be comfortable, comfort from this world is only temporary. Thanks, Pastor Kev this this awesome word this morning.
