Ezekiel 37-39; Psalm 87; John 13

Ezekiel 37:3 KJV
And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Faith

You ever wonder what God is up to? Like, seriously, what is God doing?

My Mom would often wake us up in the summer to do chores. I would think, Mom, it’s the summer, do you not understand how this works. I sleep until 11 am, and then we commence to play all day, repeat. I did not understand she was instilling in me habits that would change how I would live the rest of my life.

God often does this with us. We are not sure what He is doing, but by faith, we believe it is what is best for us and for His glory. Notice how Ezekiel says, “thou knowest.” This statement invades the mind and interrogates the senses. It places the “knowing” on with the one who “knows” all and “knows” best.

There may be many “dead” things that are lifeless and need God’s word to speak to it in our lives. If we allow the Word of God to do such, even if we do not know how things will come out, we trust, in faith, that God will bring life to it, for He knows, even when we don’t. Trust God!
