Ezekiel 7-9; John 3

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Love

I normally put the chapter and verse at the end of the Scripture that I am writing commentary on, but not so today.

This Scripture, no matter what version/translation you are accustomed to, is one of the most recognized Scriptures. Why? Well, it shows God’s love in a way that really makes it hard to dismiss. A love that is sacrificial and open to all. An offering made on behalf of those who cannot do anything to earn it, but would be foolish to not accept it.

No matter how we see life, on our best days, maybe even our worst days, we must always remember this love. This love is a powerful force that does not lower God’s righteous standard, but shows how He meets it for us in Jesus.

Have you accepted this love today…his free gift given by God? Maybe you did initially, and now have fallen away in recent times, today is a great day to return. No matter where you are at, continue to accept this gift, for this is how God has loved the world.
