Nahum; Psalm 149; 2 Corinthians 4

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

Seeing Beyond Now

The ability to see what is to come takes faith and builds hope. One who goes to the gym for a consistent amount of time is aware of what I am saying. The mind and heart focuses on what is hoped for and works to bring it into fuller view.

In similar fashion, we worship and believe in Christ and see beyond our present troubles.

I honestly don’t know what troubles you are facing, what troubles loved ones are facing, but I know we must fix our gaze on things yet to be seen. For the things of now will soon be gone, but what we currently cannot see will last forever.

Be encouraged as you make it through another year, month, day, minute, moment…don’t give up or give in, begin to see beyond now.
